Last Thursday the Houston SaberCats took on the Utah Warriors, whilst at the weekend NOLA Gold hosted Austin Elite Rugby and Glendale Raptors travelled to New York to play RUNY.
The SaberCats saw out their last game at Constellation Field in a great win over Utah Warriors. Lance Williams had a brilliant game for the Utah Warriors however he and the Warriors could not overcome the SaberCats for whom out-half Sam Windsor had a great game scoring at total of 19 points in their win over the Warriors. Tim O’Malley also had a fantastic game for the Warriors scoring thirteen of the Warriors 27 points.
NOLA just about edged out Austin Elite Rugby through a late from substitute scrum half Michael Baska. Austin Elite Rugby had a ten minute period in the second half in which they showed what an explosive and exciting team they can be. Ben Mitchell had a fantastic game for Austin scoring a try in the first half and leading from the front foot the entire game. Austin Elite’s Full back Soheyl Jaoudat also had a great game scoring two tries against the Gold.

Meanwhile in New York, it was RUNY’s forwards who stole the show with front row pairing Dylan Fawsitt and Paddy Ryan both having particularly good games, whilst in the backline Mark O’Keefe was the pick of the bunch picking up two tries. Glendale’s star player was second row Luke White who once again led from the front line with 13 tackles made in the game.
