Israel Folau is expected to be sacked by Rugby Australia after he posted an Instagram post in which he stated amongst other things that “hell awaits” gay people.
Folau had just signed a four year deal with the Waratahs and Rugby Australia back in March.
Folau who is 30 years of age and an experienced Australian international with 73 caps to his name would have been expected to be one of the stars for Australia in the upcoming world cup in Japan.
This is not Folau’s first encounter with controversy as he was cautioned for a similar offense in 2018 when he posted another Instagram post again insinuating gay people would go to hell.
