Former England captain Chris Robshaw joins San Diego Legion

Ex England skipper Chris Robshaw will join San Diego Legion for the beginning of the 2021 season. Robshaw will join on a 2 year contract for the 2021 and 2022 seasons.

It had been speculated that Robshaw could join RUNY earlier in the year especially with the departure of Mathieu Bastareaud however it appears the appeal of the southern California sun swayed the former England captain.

Robshaw has been the epitome of a Quinns player having made his debut for the south west London club back in 2005. He would go on to make 250 appearances for the club and winning the Aviva English Premiership and the Amlin Challenge Cup. The flanker was also named the Premiership Player of the year twice in the ’08/’09 season and in the ’11/’12 season.

Robshaw who has captained his home nation has also won 66 England caps will join the ever increasing pool of international talent and experience at the southern California outfit who also acquired Ma’a Nonu for the would be 2020 season.
