Seattle Seawolves grind out win against Houston SaberCats

The game started off to a flier on the 8th minute Josua Vici gathered the pass after a terrific break from Osea Kolinisau to score for the SaberCats.

Seattle were piling on the pressure on Houston SaberCats however some uncharacteristic mistakes crept into their game scuppering their changes of putting points on the board. They were also unlucky and on the 22 minute, Eric Duechle was within inches of scoring a great try in which he broke the Houston defence. He was stopped just before the try line with a fantastic try saving tackle.

In a game that was touch and go for either side for much of the game, the scoreboard switched in each teams favor throughout the game.

Seattle kept probing and were awarded a penalty. They showed their statement of intent as they refused to kick the penalty instead kicking to the corner. This option paid dividends as they mauled over the resulting line out and kicked the conversion to go ahead in the game on the 45th minute.

Staller and Windsor traded blows through their boots as both teams opted to keep the scoreboard ticking over and take their points from penalty infringements.
Then on the 72nd minute the Seawolves burst into life after sustained pressure from the restart Sequoyah Burke-Combs went over in the corner with Brock Staller landing the additional two points with a kick right on the touchline to leave the score 20-14 with 8 minutes left.

Almost directly from the Houston SaberCats restart, Eric Duechle gathered a box kick and showed incredible pace to finish off the score underneath the posts.

This left the score at 27-14 with 5 minutes to go and that is how it finished.
